Remember the Psychotic Reaction page? Remember how it suddenly disappeared? That is because the band broke up. Then a
few weeks later at a show I was gonna be the bassist for some band covering AC/DC's "TNT". Then Matt and Max were gonna play
a song and they wanted me in on it. I ditched the other band {who got a random guitarist to borrow a bass and play ir for
them. He played it wrong. Since then they got another bassist who is even more successful and has no previous experience with
bass OR guitar , lovely}. After many possible songs we finally decided we were gonna play AC/DC's "highway to hell". It was
kind've an AC/DC off. Anyway we barely had any practice and crap happened. When the show finally happened it was pathetic.
We messed up badly and the other band dressed up like AC/DC {I'm sadly not joking...} and didn't do the right solo. We made
our first show , but did badly and weren't called "The Psychotic Reaction". When asked as a name we told them we weren't and
official band. As a joke they dubbed us "The Windows". So we used that name for the show. Also , for the show we used a drummer
called "CJ". It didn't work out. Mostly we played "highway to hell" because it was the only song he knew , and he played it
badly and off timing. So , we needed a new drummer. I told the guys about a drummer called Sam and after not listening to
me and finally hearing him play he was excepted into the band. Then it was decided we would do "Smells like teen spirit" by
Nirvana for the next show. We would also do some other song {that I hate and won't be mentioned}. The other band did
2 other shows , but we didn't because we weren't ready. Another problem was we still needed a vocalist. For "highway to hell"
we just did the instrumental which got boring , fast. Now for Nirvana , Matt is gonna sing. We have the song practiced and
worked out. We're gonna end the year with this show , but next year we'll be beack , with a sonic attack. Or , more
appropriately Sonic Assault! We decided to name the band Sonic Assault. We will soon debut our first original song. It is
entitled "Rage!". It is in the style of Iron Maiden , Anthrax and other heavy thrashish bands. It has an awesome guitar solo
, solid drumming and a decent bassing if I do say so myself. After we play it the lyrics and tabs MIGHT be posted online.
Max won't be playing in "Rage!" though because of the move up in schedule to the next show , he didn't have time to learn
it so it will feature me , Sam & Matt.
For "Rage!" & "Smells Like Teen Spirit" {Nirvana} Matt will sing , once again because of short notice. We hope to
get a singer for after the summer.
The show was a success. We have already begun work on our next original song. The lyrics are done , the bass and guitar
riffs are done. We just need to work on the timing and we have to finish the drumming.
UPDATE:
We played another show with our original song "Cocaine Babies". That was fun. Next show we hope to play more than one
song. We got a bunch in the works and some possible covers.
Remember , The Mystique Is Back.
